Since manufacturing the bumpers for the Renault 5, the first application made by iNoPLAST, the company has constantly explored the properties of its leading materials: the thermoset composites.
For some functions, the mechanical characteristics of the composites achieve performances that are comparable to the ones of steel with 30% less weight, which contributes to vehicles that save fuel.
Some of the composites mechanical properties have found new applications in the manufacturing of the so-called “breakable” parts which role is to absorb the shocks.
Molding technique has also enabled greater freedom in style and design.



Develop the subsets

One of the major axis of R&I at iNoPLAST is the development of painted and fitted sub-assembly concepts that are ready to be mounted on the vehicle.
This concept is applied to the truck market for the complete front grill panels, the bumpers, the insepts and the roof sub-assemblies.

Develop the hybrid parts

In order to meet increasingly complex requirements, iNoPLAST is developing hybrid parts to comply with the regulations concerning the pedestrian impact, to reduce the vehicle’s weight or also to match the manufacturing process of its clients regarding passage in cataphoresis or painting line.
These products are based on the marriage of different Thermosets/Thermoplastics or Thermosets/Steel materials to which are associated innovative assembly technologies.
