1976

  • Year in which iNoPLAST (INnOvation PLASTique) was founded by Michel DIAZ. The starting activity was the compression manufacturing of bumpers for the R5 for the Régie Renault.

1979

  • Creation of the Injection Molding department.

1984

  • Creation of the Painting department.

1987

  • iNoPLAST produces the front end of the Peugeot 405 in composite materials, the first multi-functional part to be manufactured in large series in the automotive industry.

1990

  • Agreements signed with new clients, partners or licensees: Volvo, Matra, Fiat, … Construction of a new painting workshop.

1994

  • Creation of the Small Series Unit.

1995

  • Creation of the assembly establishment at Andance.

1996

  • Birth of the company ARC (Allevard Ressort Composites).

1997

  • Volvo agreements. Construction of a new factory dedicated to the production of rear flaps on the site of Andance.
  • Production of new Renault tailgates.

1998

  • Birth of the company IPO (Ino Plastic Omnium), 50/50 Joint-Venture between iNoPLAST and Plastic Omnium  for the supply of “rear opening” modules.
  • PO acquires interest into iNoPLAST.

1999

  • Creation of the site of Blainville (Renault Trucks).
  • Extension of the Andance buildings for the future PSA, Volvo and Audi tailgates.
  • Launch in Ramos (Mexico) of the first IPO industrial site for the American market, contract for manufacturing  tailgates for General Motors (series launch in 2001).

2000

  • Creation of the Sandouville (Renault) site near Le Havre.

2001

  • Creation of the Douai site (near Lille).

2002

  • Acquisition of the ATMC company. ISO TS 16949 certification for iNoPLAST Ardeche.

2003

  • ISO 14001 certification for iNoPLAST Ardeche.

2005

  • Acquisition of a majority interest in the capital of Xieno (China), an important manufacturer of composite parts.
  • Inauguration of new factories at Felines (near Annonay) dedicated to the thermoplastic activity and to Blainville  with an entirely automated painting line.

2007

  • iNoPLAST becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary within Plastic Omnium Automotive Exterior.
