- Birth of the company IPO (Ino Plastic Omnium), 50/50 Joint-Venture between iNoPLAST and Plastic Omnium for the supply of “rear opening” modules.
- PO acquires interest into iNoPLAST.

- Creation of the site of Blainville (Renault Trucks).
- Extension of the Andance buildings for the future PSA, Volvo and Audi tailgates.
- Launch in Ramos (Mexico) of the first IPO industrial site for the American market, contract for manufacturing tailgates for General Motors (series launch in 2001).

- Creation of the Sandouville (Renault) site near Le Havre.

- Acquisition of the ATMC company. ISO TS 16949 certification for iNoPLAST Ardeche.

- ISO 14001 certification for iNoPLAST Ardeche.

- Acquisition of a majority interest in the capital of Xieno (China), an important manufacturer of composite parts.
- Inauguration of new factories at Felines (near Annonay) dedicated to the thermoplastic activity and to Blainville with an entirely automated painting line.
